ALUMNae ASSOCIATION
Creating lifelong sisterhood
The Edna House Alumnae Association is made up of former residents who have successfully completed a minimum 6 month program at the House. Numbering close to 300, the Alumnae Association plays an important role in providing mentoring, volunteering, and fun outings with current Edna residents during the year. The Alumnae meet monthly to discuss supporting house projects and upcoming events. For many of our residents, Alumnae are some of the first people they connect with in the Cleveland recovery community and thus are some of the most important factors in a woman's healing with us.
MISSION STATEMENT
We aim to serve The Edna House and her residents while creating a lifelong sisterhood through meaningful engagement. By volunteering our resources, we make a continued commitment to give freely that which was given to us. We believe in recovery, new beginnings, and second chances.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR ALUMNae BOARD
Ask any alumnae about Edna, and listen to not only WHAT she says, but HOW she says it. She will talk about Edna with respect and excitement and passion. Look in her eyes and see the pride that she projects. See, we didn't walk in the doors with real pride. We were taught how to be women with integrity. Whatever our upbringing, background, or circumstances, we lost our way. We needed to be taught how to live. The Edna experience embraces just that. As alumnae of The Edna House, we are here to provide support, mentoring, volunteering, and sisterhood to those currently going through the struggles we lived and continue to live.
