Conceived by and for alcoholic women, the Edna House offers a unique recovery opportunity to any woman with the desire to stay sober.
What We Do
The Edna House for Women offers long-term, structured sober living and education to women seeking recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Our program was founded on the belief that every woman, regardless of her circumstances, could get sober if given the opportunity, and that the existing recovery community offered the critical link to the long term, uninterrupted sobriety that so many of us failed to attain on our own. While providing for her basic needs - food, shelter and safety - the Edna House allows a woman to focus solely on her recovery with the support, direction and guidance from experienced members of the recovering community.
How We Operate
We are a 501(c)3 organization sustained through donations from individuals and businesses in the communities we serve. We receive no federal, state, or local funding.
Through extensive use of volunteers and a "make do" philosophy, our spending is limited and efficient. It is only through the dedication, loyalty and generosity of our volunteers and community supporters, that our doors remain open.
